Frequently Asked Questions

Ahead of your stay with us, we have compiled a list of our most asked questions from previous guests. If you still have a question that is not answered below, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us by phone or email.

  1. How do I get to Castletroy Park Hotel? We are located just off the M7 motorway. Take junction 28 for Limerick East/Castletroy and follow signage for University of Limerick. We are located just across the road from the UL Flagpoles entrance. See here for more info.
  2. What is your Eircode?   It is  V94 YOAN.
  3. Are you dog friendly? Yes, see more info here.
  4. Have you wheelchair accessible rooms?  Yes, we would have wheelchair accessible rooms. Click here to read more about our Accessible Rooms.
  5. What time is breakfast? Breakfast during the week is served from 7.00am until 10.00am, weekends from 7.30am until 10.30am.
  6. What are the bar opening hours? Our bar opens at 12pm every day for lunch and serves food until 9.45pm. For more information on our Brasserie, click here.
  7. Where can I view your menus? You can view all our menus here.
  8. Is there parking at the hotel? Yes, we have ample parking at the front of the hotel and further parking to the rear of the hotel by the Leisure Centre entrance. All our parking is free of charge.
  9. What is the pool and leisure club opening hours? We are open Monday to Friday from 6:30am – 10:30pm and Saturday & Sunday from 7:45am – 9:15pm.
  10. What time do kids have to be out of the pool?   Children’s hours in the pool are from 9.00am to 7.00pm.
  11. Do I need to wear a swimming hat in the pool? Yes, hats must be worn in the swimming pool at all times.
  12. What time is check in at? Check in is from 3pm in the hotel and 4pm in the Suites. You can add early check in to your booking to check in from 1pm for just €15.
  13. What is the check out time?  Check out is at 12pm in the hotel and 11am in the Suites. You can request a later check out time up to 2pm at the booking stage for €15 extra.
  14. Do you have Wi-Fi? Yes, we have free high speed WiFi offered throughout the hotel. The network is open, you just need to select ‘Castletroy Park Hotel WiFi’ and sign in on your browser.
  15. Can I charge my electric car at the hotel? We can arrange charging for you with a three pin plug on request. Alternatively, there are fast charge points located nearby outside Circle K on the Ballysimon Rd, about 10 mins from the hotel.
  16. Do you provide a baby sitting service? Yes, this can be arranged for you during your stay. Please call our reception team ahead of your stay to arrange.
  17. Do you have 24hr reception? Yes, you can arrive at any time and a member of our team will be there to assist you.
  18. What is your Covid 19 policy? All details of the changes we’ve implemented can be found here or you can contact us for a copy of our full policy.
  19. Where can I find your guest directory? You can find our guest directories for both hotel and Suites here.
  20. Do you accommodate third level students? Yes, we accept students who require accommodation midweek (Sun-Thu nights). Please contact us directly for more information on rates and to make a reservation. Note: A deposit of €400 is payable on arrival to the hotel for student rooms. This is fully refundable on departure provided there have been no disturbances during the stay.
  21. Is there currency exchange in the hotel? No, we do not currently exhange currency in the hotel but we are located directly across from Bank of Ireland who will be able to accomodate exchanges from 10am – 4pm, Monday to Friday.
  22. Do you cater for Vegans/Vegeterians? Yes, we do accomodate for mostly all dietry requirements. Just inform us when making your booking or inform the waiter/waitress when ordering and they will be able to check options with the chef.
  23. How would I get to the hotel via public transport? We are a 10 minute drive from the city centre. From Colbert Station, there is a bus route that stops directly across from the hotel on the 304 or 304A buses.
  24. Is it possible to order a taxi from the hotel? Yes, just pop up to our reception team who will be able to assist you in ordering a taxi right from the door of the hotel.
  25. Is the city walking distance? The city is about a 40 minute walk from the hotel and has footpaths all along the way. There is also a walking route through UL, along the river. It is a little longer but a lot more scenic and no traffic along the way.
  26. Can I use my Só Hotel gift voucher in the hotel? Yes, the Só Hotel gift vouchers can be used in any of our six properties on leisure, dining, or accommodation. These are also valid for five years so can be used at your desire.
  27. Do you accept other vouchers such as One for Alls or Swirl Cards? No, we do not currently accept any other vouchers, other than our own Só Hotel vouchers.
  28. Can I add any extras to my bedroom booking? Yes, we offer add ons to all bookings – these can be selected in the booking engine site when making your booking or by calling us over the phone with your request. These can include dinner, afternoon tea, balloons in the room, early or late check-out, flowers, chocolates, or a bottle of prosecco.
  29. Are there laundry facilities in the hotel? Yes, we offer dry cleaning facilities to all of our guests at a cost per item. This information will be provided at reception. For all guests staying in our suites there are public laundry facilities provided – washing machine and dryer – free of charge but you will need to bring your own detergent with you.
  30. Can I add an extra bed to my room? This will depend on the size of the room booked but most rooms will allow for space for an additonal pull out bed or/and a cot. This must be requested when making your booking in advance of arrival.
  31. Can I use a discount code over the phone? No, we do not offer discount codes over the phone. This can only be done through our website.
  32. What is the service charge on room service? There is a €7 charge on all room services.
  33. Are there any rooms that connect? Yes, we have a range of bedrooms that are interconnected, which are perfect for families. If you wish to book one of these, you must inform reception or reservations when making the booking.
