Meet the Aqua and Fitness Team

Grace Morrissey – Leisure Club Manager

Hey everyone!

My name is Grace and I originally started in the club as a fitness instructor. In this role I mostly thought classes, designed programmes and carried out assessments to help individuals reach their fitness goals. As a trainer my philosophy is to make it enjoyable so that fitness becomes a part of your life and is not viewed as a chore. I strongly believe that with commitment and hard work, anyone can reach their goals.

After a year in the club, I was promoted to supervisor in the club and now, I am delighted to have been promoted to club manager.

I have always had a passion for sports, fitness, exercise and health.  I studied four years in IT Tralee and hold a BSc (Hons) in Health and Leisure with Massage. My experiences with personal training, massage therapy and strength and conditioning coaching have all thought me the importance of professional relationships and building rapport with members.

I am always here to answer any queries or help out in any way that I can so do not hesitate to contact me.

Patrick O’Dohery – Leisure Club Personal Trainer

Hi my name is Pa. I’m currently in my first year studying Health and Exercise Fitness in the University of Limerick. I’ve played sport since I was five years old and have always loved it and being active. I’ve got a strong background in both Rugby and Gaelic Football.

I enjoy my job in the leisure centre as I am surrounded by people with my interests and motivations and I’m always learning from them. I love interacting with members and helping individuals achieve their fitness goals. Ever since I started going to the gym I knew that it was something I’d love to get into and would love to pursue a career in. In the next year I will be broadening my education and specialising in both personal training and strength and conditioning.

Keith Mc Manus – Leisure Club Personal Trainer

Hey my name is Keith. I graduated from the University of Limerick in 2014 with a B.Sc in Exercise and Health Fitness. I specialised in personal training, accompanied with strength and conditioning. I love every kind, and also every aspect of sport. This has kept me keen and motivated in my work, especially when it comes to making programs for teams or individuals alike. For the past two seasons I have been the strength and conditioning coach to a very dedicated and successful UL Bohemians Ladies team – who also play home to a number of Irish international players. I have a very strong passion for helping people in any way I can, and the best way for me to do that is through fitness and keeping people positive. ANY goal is achievable by maintaining a positive mindset and simply working hard! On a personal note, I have represented Munster in under 17’s, 19’s and 20’s. I joined UL Bohemians RFC after I left school in 2010 and was part of their academy system. I went on to captain the under 21’s and win both domestic trophies. I have been part of the Bohs senior team for the past 5 seasons – in which I’ve had some unforgettable experiences, namely, winning the Ulster Bank Irish league 1B alongside some current and former Irish and Munster greats

Iain Hurton – Leisure Club Personal Trainer

Hi, my name is Iain, the youngest one of them all! I got into fitness myself because weight was something I struggled with when I was growing up. My father brought me to a boot camp when I was 16 – this is when my addiction to exercise started. When I finished my first boot camp I recognised how unfit I was and wanted to change for the better as the life I was living was not getting me closer to where I wanted to be. I knew I want to be a fitness instructor.

I completed my first course in Fitness & Health with CCL in Limerick & my second year with LCFE. I also went on to complete courses in Aqua Aerobics & Spinning. The fitness industry is always changing & it is important to stay on top of it. Aqua Aerobics is my speciality (ask the ladies I’m a killer) – I love dancing from line dancing to break dancing. I love making people happy while motivating them at the same time.

I love my job here in the leisure club & I love the people I work with as they have the same goals & mindset as myself which is crucial when working in this industry.
