Becky - Leisure Club Manager
In my role today, I genuinely enjoy looking after our members and ensuring they receive the right support, guidance, and care as they move through their fitness journey. This commitment to helping others live healthier, more active lives is at the heart of everything I do.
Iain - Leisure Club Personal Trainer
I completed my first course in Fitness & Health with CCL in Limerick & my second year with LCFE. I also went on to complete courses in Aqua Aerobics & Spinning. The fitness industry is always changing & it is important to stay on top of it. Aqua Aerobics is my speciality (ask the ladies I’m a killer) – I love dancing from line dancing to break dancing. I love making people happy while motivating them at the same time.
I love my job here in the leisure club & I love the people I work with as they have the same goals & mindset as myself which is crucial when working in this industry.
Kyle - Leisure Club Personal Trainer
I started training in the gym at just 17 years old. Over the years, my passion for fitness led me to complete my bachelor’s degree in health and fitness in Limerick, where I built a strong foundation in exercise science, coaching, and wellbeing. I’ve also gained a range of professional qualifications, including one-to-one personal training, strength and conditioning, group exercise instruction, and Pilates. These skills allow me to work confidently with a wide variety of clients and goals. Out of everything I do, Pilates is my favourite part of the job; I love the combination of strength, control, and mindfulness it offers, and it’s incredibly rewarding to watch people progress, build confidence, and reach goals they once thought were out of reach.
Kate - Leisure Club Swim Instructor
I enjoy teaching people of all ages how to swim, I strongly believe it is an essential life skill that everyone should have. I believe that having some competency in the water, even just the basic technique, can keep you safe. Working as a swimming instructor has been incredibly fulfilling, especially as I can see my students’ confidence build, resulting in them achieving their goals.
I enjoy working in the leisure centre, as I am always surrounded by people with similar interests and aspirations. I believe that having a motivating and supportive atmosphere and environment can greatly encourage everyone to achieve their fitness goals.
Abaigeal - Leisure Club Personal Trainer & Swim Instructor
Sport has always been a big part of my life. I play rugby with UL Bohemians and have represented Connacht, Leinster, and Munster – so I’m just one province short of the full set! I love bringing that same passion and teamwork from the pitch into my work, whether that’s in the gym or the pool.
Before moving here in August, I worked at our sister hotel, the Athlone Springs, for four years, where I gained great experience and developed a real passion for helping others reach their goals.
