Wedding FAQ’s
The Basics
- What’s included in the packages?
- Included in all of our packages is everything from Drinks Reception, Arrival Canapes, Resident Pianist on Arrival, Banquet Meal, Wine with your meal. Décor, Evening Reception, and even bar extension.
- How flexible are your packages?
- While you can always add in extra’s we are always happy to make the packages as personal to you and what you want. You are not stuck to everything that’s in the package of your choice.
Ceremony
- Do you have allocated spaces for Civil Ceremonies?
- Yes, for bigger ceremonies we hold them in the second one half of the Ballroom. We can hold ceremonies in our Private Courtyard but it is weather dependent.
Food & Wine
- When does our Wedding tasting take place?
- A: Your tasting takes place about 2 months out from the wedding. We hold tastings n Sundays only at lunch time. You will also taste and try your wedding wine this night. The tasting is complimentary for the wedding couple. For additional guests they are charged 37 euro per person.
- What are our options For Day 2?
- We can host BBQ and Finger food in our Feeney Suite. Menu prices are available on request. You can also have band/Dj etc. They can play until 1pm in the Feeney Suite
The Wedding Party
- What is the capacity of the ballroom?
- Our ballroom can fit 300 guests on round tables.
- When do you need the final numbers and table plan?
- We will ask for your final numbers at least a week before the wedding. Please be advised – once we get your final number 48 hours prior to your wedding day this is the amount of meals chef will prep for, therefore we cannot drop the number of guests you are paying for, should you have drop-outs on the day of the wedding. We will also need your table plan as well 1 week prior and We will print & display your table plan for you.
Accommodation
- What accommodation does the venue offer, will there be discounted rates for guests at the wedding?
- We have 108 rooms in total in the hotel. You will be given a block of 20 rooms with a wedding rate. Along with the 20 rooms you will be given 3 complimentary rooms. The Bridal Suite plus 2 Junior Suites for the night of the wedding only. Guests attending the wedding will be offered a Wedding room rate. If you wish to hold more than 20 rooms – rooms can be added to the block. We do not allocate all 108 rooms for weddings. All rooms not named 6 weeks out from your wedding will be released to the public. We will let you know before we release them and you can obtain your rooming list at any time
- What time is Check in/ Check out?
- Check in is from 3pm onwards, and check out is from Midday. Breakfast 7am – 10:00am.
Facilities
- Can the bridal party get ready at the venue?
- Yes, the Troy Suite is ideal for getting ready. There is a big window which provides natural light for Hair and Make-up. There is also loads of room for you and your Bridal Party. This can be booked from the night before at the wedding rate. We also have a range of inter-connecting bedrooms which can also be ideal.
Financial
- Is there a payment schedule? What kind of deposits are required?
- You will see the payment plan at the bottom of your contract. You calculate the price of your package x by the number of guests attending. We ask for 75% of the over all bill before the wedding day. The payments begin 6 months out from your wedding, then 3 months and finally 1 month. However, if you want to pay more/ before that’s completely up to you. You can pay by bank transfer, over the phone, by cash or cheque.
- When does the deposit need to be paid?
- You can provisionally hold a date for 2 weeks without payment. To confirm the date we ask for a 1,500 euro deposit which officially holds the wedding. To confirm, we draw up the contracts, once they’re signed the wedding is officially confirmed.
- What’s the cancellation policy?
- You will find all details of our cancellation policy in the ‘terms and conditions’ you will receive along with your contract. The deposit is non-refundable
