Birds of a Feather

Birds of a Feather provide wedding film and wedding stationery to couples to be, in Dublin and across Ireland and are winners of many industry awards.

DESIGN ADVICE

Ah yes - the starting point! What is your story, your theme and how can we translate this into design? Our Graphic Designer, Louise Kiernan, is all about this. If you are the creative type we would suggest sitting down for a cup of tea with Louise. She loves to brainstorm through ideas and meld it together with your personality to create some unique invitations, save the dates, ceremony booklets and so on!

ADVICE FOR CHOOSING FILM

Films have an audio capacity that photographs don’t. Hearing the voice of a loved one narrating their story is something to be held dearly. If you are considering hiring a wedding videographer, do as much research as possible. Watch films from as many different wedding filmmakers you can and find out which ones resonate with you. Everyone is different and there is so many different styles out there.

Our cinematic films aim to tell the truth through natural shots and storytelling. You'll see a mix between artful shots but lead by a strong narrative. This backbone is how we make the films timeless. A story that lives on throughout generations.

ADVICE FOR CHOOSING A PHOTOGRAPHER

Whether you book with your photographer or videographer first, it's important to ask them if they work regularly with another videographer/ photographer. Sometimes strong working relationships will grow between them and add to a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
We believe in working closely with the photographer, making sure we stay clear of each others’ cameras and pulling together to create some amazing frames. We work regularly with some of our favourite photographers and would be happy to send you some recommendations.

ADVICE FOR 'THE' DAY

All the planning has taken months and it's now the big day - relax and enjoy! If there's a small hiccup along the way, don't let it worry you. Let your family and friends help you as much as possible. The more relaxed you are, the more you'll enjoy yourself and the better footage we will get.

Ignore us. We work ing the background to capture the natural going-ons, emotions and interactions of the day. The less aware you are of us the better. This allows us to capture truth and spontaneity, while you are blissfully unaware enjoying your day. Most admit that they don’t even notice us, which is exactly what we want to capture the subtle moments!
