Ring O'Roses

As a wedding florist I have been asked many many times why are flowers so important for a wedding, why are fresh flowers so important?

Originally fresh flowers were used to mask body smells, yes its true! The story goes that showers didn’t exist, brides and indeed grooms didn’t bathe very often. Wedding costumes were very heavy, no antiperspirant hence the need for fresh fragrant flowers.

In these times of amazing flower varieties, and educated florists who will create exactly the right displays to make a wedding day so special. Bringing colour and nature to enhance your day.

Imagine if you will you enter the church/ venue, you are a vision in ivory or white or whatever your preferred colour. Your husband or wife to be is waiting at the top of the aisle, your guests turn in their seats to watch you approach. Initially, all they see is this vision of loveliness. They can’t yet see the lace in your dress, the gorgeous makeup or hair but they can see your flowers. This is something that they will remember as being their first glimpse of you. There are many add-ons now for weddings, there are trimmings of all sorts and these can be lovely.

But Nothing beats the elegance and pure class of fresh flowers. From the ceremony to the reception and more.

With 1400 weddings in my portfolio, I have never had one Bride that regretted having flowers,

Very best wishes for your special day.
